The structure of the thesis paper

The thesis, like any research project, has a structure that meets state requirements and is standard for all higher education institutions in the country.

Therefore, the thesis consists of the following parts:

  1. The title page is the first page of the project, which contains information about the educational institution, faculty, and specialty to which the student belongs and the scientific work performed by him. In addition, the title page displays the name of the topic on which the research was conducted, and the initials of the performer and supervisor.
  2. The table of contents is a list of all parts of which the thesis consists. The title of each of them is accompanied by the numbering of the pages on which they are located.
  3. Introduction is a short description of the diploma project, it is a part that contains the main characteristics of the work: its relevance, purpose, goals, objectives, object, subject and research methods, practical and theoretical significance, scientific novelty, etc. The introduction should not be large in volume, 2-3 pages are enough to briefly and clearly present all the most important information.
  4. Section I (Theoretical) – in this part the author theoretically considers all the concepts that are important for the thesis project. The theoretical part may consist of one or more sections, it all depends on the specifics of the research question.
  5. Section II (Practical) is a research part of the work, it describes experiments, research problems, application of various methods and results.
  6. Section III (Recommended) is a part of the work in which the directions of improvement of the subject of research are substantiated, and economic and other effects from the implemented measures are calculated.
  7. Conclusions – this is the final part of the thesis project, which contains summary information on the research topic. Here the author draws conclusions about how accurately he was able to achieve his goals and summarizes the provisions that will be made in defense of the work.
  8. References – it contains a list of all information sources that the author used to complete the thesis.
  9. Appendices are materials that can specify the practical and theoretical sections of the work, they are tables, diagrams, calculations, diagrams, regulations, photographs, questionnaires, and more.

The volume of the thesis (without appendices) is limited, it can be from 70 to 120 pages, depending on the requirements of the educational institution and state standards, and the volume of appendices can be any.

How to write the conclusions of the thesis

The final part of the diploma project is the formation of conclusions. They are a summary of the work done on the disclosure and study of the study.

Therefore, the final part must be present:

  1. Conclusions on the theoretical part.
  2. The results obtained during the analysis of the object of study.
  3. Scientific novelty of the work.
  4. Prospects for the development of innovations.
  5. Conclusions on the recommendation part (if any).

The conclusions in which all points which were specified in the introductory part are present are considered correct. And so that the process of forming the results was not complicated, it is necessary to write on a piece of paper all the goals that were indicated in the introduction and give an answer to them, while it is important to indicate the relevance and significance of the work.

It is very good if the student has a copy of the final part of a similar topic of the thesis, it will help him to navigate correctly and avoid most mistakes. But if you do not have it, then the general recommendations will be an essay writing help:

  1. Conclusions should begin with a short introduction: 2-3 sentences about the significance of the final part.
  2. The text should be concise, address only the most important issues, and not contain metaphors and epithets.

Usually, the conclusions are made in the form of numbered paragraphs, which gives the material clarity. The deeper they are, the higher the scientific level of the study. Conclusions should primarily relate to the results achieved by the author during the study of the problem, they can be both positive and negative. The main thing – the results should be logical and consistent with the content of the thesis.
